Current Volunteer Opportunities
Children’s Department-
Welcome Center
- greet families
- operate electronic check-in system
- support the classrooms during scheduled service times.
Teachers
-Nursery [infants through toddlers]
- interact, cuddle, feed, rock to sleep - and yes, change diapers
-Preschool [includes 2-5 year-olds]
- prepare the ever-popular snacks (and clean up afterwards!)
- do simple crafts (ditto cleanup)
- teach, play and just enjoy this fun age group
-Kids Church [1st grade to 6th grade] opportunities include:
- teach during services
- worship leader
- interact with the children
-Special Care Class
- play, interact, and provide loving assistance for children with disabilities (training provided)
Kid’s Church Sound booth
- operate media shout, i-tunes, and record the service. Easy training for someone who feels comfortable on the computer.
Materials
- lend your creative talents and energy to coordinate, reproduce & gather materials for the classrooms.
Media Department-
Equipment Operators and Assistants – run lighting, video & sound systems
Operate cameras and video switchers for services, conferences & special programs
Run audio/video systems for children's and off-campus events
Technical Support – assist in archiving digital data from services, conduct online research for media content, prepare and duplicate CD/DVD content for services
Youth Department-
The Wednesday night All-Arounder
- Includes being present during Wednesday night services
- Individual weekly assignments can include the following: general service assistance, mentoring,
small group leader, some administrative tasks
The Sunday morning All-Arounder
- Includes being present during Sunday morning services
- Individual service assignments can include the following: general service assistance, mentoring,
small group leader, some administrative tasks
The Weekend Activities All-Arounder
- Attend/chaperone weekend activities and special event
Administrative Support
Service Activities Leader
- Coordinate and carry out group ice breakers, games and activities in youth ministry services and
special events
Service Media
- Create special media tools, including videos
- Operation of media tools during services
Action Project Coordinator
- Search out service projects for youth ministry students
- Select group projects with agreement of youth pastor
- Coordinate service project dates
- Make appropriate information available to students
- Coordinate project on-site
Special Events Coordinator
- Search out special activities and events for youth ministry
- Obtain all necessary information on the activities (price, location, etc.)
- Plan activities with youth pastor
- Develop a Special Events calendar
Fundraiser Coordinator
- develop fundraising ideas for youth ministry and special events
- choose fundraisers with agreement of youth pastor
- coordinate fundraising dates and activities
- develop annual fundraising calendar
Bus Driver
- must obtain CDL endorsement
- drive the bus for youth activities and special trips
