Our Story
VFC began on June 12, 1977 in the home of Pastors Bill and Linda McRay with six adults and six children. Just over a year later on September 1, 1978, we moved into our present location on Lebanon Road with 40 members. By the mid-eighties, VFC had about 400 members, and we built a new expanded sanctuary in 1989.
In 1998, VFC planted three new churches in nearby Murfreesboro, Franklin and Shelbyville. In 1999 and 2002, VFC planted mission churches in the country of Estonia.
In 2007, we celebrated our 30th anniversary as a church and all that God has done in and through VFC. We continue to celebrate in His promise of even greater things to come:
“The glory of this present house will be greater than the glory of the former house, says the Lord Almighty.” Haggai 2:9
